Tom Carson, W. J. Niederkorn Library (Spring 2022 - Fall 2024)
Tom Carson serves as Library Director of the W. J. Niederkorn Library in Port Washington, WI, located just north of Milwaukee on the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan. Prior to being a director, Tom served as Head of Reference and Adult Services for the Kenosha Public Library for 17 years. He began his library career as a reference librarian at the Oshkosh Public Library. He is heading into his 33rd year working in libraries. He has been a strong advocate and user of Badgerlink since its inception. It is one of State’s best resources.
Joe Hardenbrook, Carroll University (Spring 2023 - Fall 2024)
Joe Hardenbrook is Director of Library Services at Carroll University in Waukesha. At Carroll since 2014, Joe started as the Reference & Instruction Librarian. Prior to that, he worked at the UW-Green Bay library. His interests in libraries include active learning strategies, social media, user experience, and organizational leadership. He’s always pointing students and faculty to Badgerlink’s test prep and genealogy resources. Joe has a M.Ed. from Carroll University, MLS from Indiana University, and BA from Ball State University.
Toni Heinowski, Muskego Norway School District (Spring 2022 - Fall 2024)
Toni Heinowski has taught all grades K-8th at one time in her career. Currently, she is the 4K-8th grade Librarian in the Muskego Norway School District. She serves as the Muskego Norway Schools Representative on Muskego Public Library's Board of Trustees. She works in multiple buildings and enjoys working with a wide variety of students and teachers.
Tom Reich, UW Stevens Point (Spring 2023 - Fall 2024)
Tom Reich has worked at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Libraries since 1996. First, as student worker, then lead library assistant in U.S. and WI publications & documents, and ultimately his current position as Collection Development Coordinator, Head of Acquisitions, and Gifts Librarian. In addition, Tom is a tenured Professor, who does Reference and Instruction and often points students, faculty, staff, and community members to BadgerLink resources. Tom is a product of UWSP, earning a B.S. in Political Science and MST-History. Tom earned his MLIS from UW-Milwaukee. He was awarded the Param Gun Sood MAGS Award, by the Midwestern Association Graduate Schools, for his distinguished history thesis. Tom has served on many UWSP shared governance committees and is a longtime member of CUWL Collection Development Committee. Tom is deeply committed to assessing collections, licensing, evaluating databases, and following best practices in collaboratively leveraging resources with equitable access.
Sara Schoepke, Waterford School District (Spring 2023 - Fall 2024)
Sara Schoepke has taught in K-8 schools for more than 20 years and is currently the Instructional Technology & Library Media Coordinator for the Waterford Graded School District. She is a Google Certified Trainer and an ISTE Certified Educator. She also serves as a trustee on the Village of Waterford Public Library Board. She loves working with students and teachers to integrate technology into learning experiences, develop and participate in inquiry journeys, and foster independent learners and citizens.
Neeyati Shah, Madison Public Library (Spring 2022 - Fall 2024)
Neeyati Shah has been a Community Engagement Librarian at Madison Public Library since 2018. She divides her time between delivering reference services at the Central Library, which serves as the Resource Library for the South Central Library System, and facilitating community partnerships and services for adults. She is also the Electronic Resources Librarian for MPL and works with a team to make decisions about database subscriptions. Neeyati earned her MLIS from the University of British Columbia and has a BA in Communication Studies from the University of Michigan.
Stephanie Snyder, Milwaukee Public School District (Spring 2022 - Fall 2024)
Stephanie Snyder is currently the librarian for Bay View High School in the Milwaukee Public School District (MPS). She earned a B.A. in English from University of Illinois at Chicago Campus (1993) and an MLIS from Dominican University (1999). She began teaching in 1996 for Chicago Public Schools and has worked in public schools in Shorewood, WI and Brown Deer, WI before joining MPS in 2021. She is also a member of the UWM National Writing Project, where she continues to support teachers and students in a love of writing as well as reading.
